I agree with eb3_nepa
The fact is that the biggest immediate issue facing the majority of people is Not a green card, it is that they cannot even file for it. Wasn't retrogression the whole reason why people joined IV? GC processing was always slow, and that was a big problem. But it only got to be a critical problem when people realized they could not change jobs and their spouses could not work due to the retrogression.
Let us focus on the low hanging fruits first.

a) Filing for stage 3 regardless of PD
b) Relief for people in the LC mess
c) Fingerprinting one person just Once (i mean fingerprints dont change do they?)
... does it make sense to go for a Comprehensive Permanent solution or does it make sense to ask for smaller tid-bits and treat the other costs we incur as "costs of doing business"? ... Let us seriously think about this solution.

Did you send out the latest letters...I am getting a positive feed back ..that approximately at least 500 letters have gone out..we started to make noise.. and we will see the results eventually...More action items will follow in comming weeks..Dont forget the high five though campaign though ;)

Nobody is even talking about EB3-I. Since congress is supporting EB2, we EB3-I won't get any relief bcoz all big companies are happy to see EB2-I getting approved. We are left alone and nobody to help us..........

Good question.
Also, I just learnt (through this forum) about 'hold'. Senator Sessions had put a 'hold' (a non-written tradition needing consent to raise in the senate) on the Cornyn bill.
Is that only for the lameduck session? Or is it true in general? Can senators put a 'hold' on a matter in any senate session? If that is true, then Senator Sessions can never even let this matter come up in senate in 2007 (and after.)
I guess just a single drop of lime can spoil a litre of milk?

I posted to topic "My concern- Skill in 2009"...then came proud american..derailed us off track and then we forgot our route....now back to the route....what action are we talking to intorduce this Eb interm relief Bill in senate in Jan..I think we need an input from Core members about how to proceed here..
Each of us write to all out state senators and also important once like Nance pelosi, Mccain..so on...about providing some non-contraversial releif...we need to mention those and send LEGIBLE HAND WRITTEN LETTERS without spelling mistakes and send it fedex.....Send it during Chirstmas ...dot forget to mention God Bless America...just explain in simple words that we have been waiting for some relief from 2001 and have not seen any...please consider passing these non-contraversial issuses....I think they are reasonable and would agree....also mention that we have been dodged like a football saying skill/CIR and so on....

My understanding is after 180 days of 485 filing, even if the employer revokes the approved 140, the 485 application does not get affected if you apply AC21 and let USCIS know that you have changed employment and the job duties are similar. Is it true? or is there is any risk if employer revokes 140?

I sent the documents by June 8th,
On June 25th I wrote them a sentimental email saying that I have not been to my home country in the last 4 years and would love to see my parents in ailing(Sorry Dad!!) december atleast. I mentioned them that getting h1B stamping is really a pain and would like to have EAD/AP by then. So its better to get in the queue before the July 1st rush
Luckily they sent my package on June 26th. Hope it had reached the USCIS on time and mine is accepted.
Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.

You can whine, post your opinions, when we change policies on the fly and create more hardships even if you have stayed here for more than 6 years, you can call up our customer service, be imaginative and get to level 2 and still get yelled at, asked to wait for 90 days (std reply), etc, but you can always go to good forum like IV and instead of working on your cause, create confusion, DEMAND action, not contribute....etc.

Thanks gc28262 for your contributions to this drive. I request others to pitch in as well. We can discuss the nitty-gritties till we bleed. But that won't achieve anything. It will not stop the minformation being spread. We have to collect enough evidence and present it to the media. 4-5 job ads is just the beginning, we need a collection of few hundred to prove this is the prevalent trend.
