Best course of action would be to go to your Home Country during that period....visa stamping is not a big deal at all.....njoy your vacation...for you might not get this much off/free time in the foreseeable future!!!!

The 60 days grace period is only for you to take care of business before you go back home. In your case you must wait for 2 months and 24 days before returning to work otherwise you will be in violation of your status.

All EB priority dates for July 2007 is current. Hence everyone can go for concurrent filing right away.
The scenario I have given explains how to maintain the status after getting permanent residency from both countries, so that you are eligible to apply for citizenship in both countries.
But here is the catch. Some Canadian immigration officers might not consider the commuting days towards the day count for citizenship. It solely depends on the discretion of the officer during Canadian citizenship interview.

If the client is ready to offer employment to you, client will take care of everthing. Why you worry about the law suite? My best guess is he is just threatening you because he will loose money on you. If you want you can scare him saying that you will put a case against him in USCIS by various reasons.

As for your questions, If you don't have a valid H1 and no EAD, you are out of status. That can have an adverse effect on your I-485 if such period exceeds 180 days.
about the 90-day thing, USCIS used to allow you to walk into a local office and get an interim EAD if your EAD application is pending for 90 days or more, but they seem to have discontinued that practice. Moreover, it will take much longer than 90 days now to get an EAD.
You can apply EAD yourself but you need the I-485 receipt notice for that and I'm sure such employer won't give that to you either.

some 15-25 yrs back this used to be possible. I know of someone whos mom was air-hostess, and delivered the baby here and all of the family members got GC based on that baby.
But they closed this loophole sometime back.

Mine was paper filed by Attorney.
Checklaw: There is nothing in the law that states you need to have AP continously. If you dont anticpate to travel then you dont need AP.
However if you are in EAD then it is advicable to have AP's as no one can predict emergenices.

Hi, I am not an expert, quoting from things I have read in the past.
Ans 1: Notifying or not notifying about job change should not delay AOS process. It might help that you might not get a RFE. People on IV and RK forum have mixed views on this. Some choose to notify some do not. In case you do not notify, you might get an RFE asking for pay stub and current company. I know Shila Murthy and some other lawyers prefer to notify.
Ans 2: Your corporate lawyer can apply, they will have to get a G28 filled out and signed from you.
Ans 3: As of now, using AC21, job title is not a problem at all. What matters is, job description, should be same or similar (definition on same/similar not clear yet- may be very soon). If the job description is very similar then it should not be a problem.
Ans 4: If salary is more then it is not a problem, should not be less then specified in I-140/LC.
Again, I don't consider myself an expert. so take this with a pinch of salt.

I totally agree, but as if there isnt a backlog at I-140 right now!! its been more than an year since I filed my I-140 ..I see a couple of LUDs but no approval in sight!
Does anyone else have the same story? I-140 pending for 12+ months now(transfered from NSC to TSC last month).
Years before, the back log was at Labor Stage, then when PERM Labor came into existance, the back log was at 485 stage, now with non-concurrent filing I think the I 140 will get backlogged.

As my priority date is current I contacted my local congressman's office for help with my I-485. NSC replied back to the office (see reply below) saying my background checks are still on. But the officer at the infopass appointment said my backgrounds checks are complete. I don't know whom to believe.
Is this some kind of standard reply that USCIS is giving for Congressman's or Senators case status inquiry?

I think that is standard message, my I-140 RD is sep 20th 2006 and got RFE on ability to pay last month and my employer responded on 10/04 and the online status changed to RFE response received and case processing resumed. its been more than a week no update.
Strange...my 140 was filed on Nov 2006....and then got a REF on August 29th 2007, my pawyer responsed last week...and I thought that as soon as USCIS gets the evidence they will hopefully approve my case....(the evidence was a minor (atleast I thought it was minor) issue about birth date...
and now USCIS has revieved the evidence they asked for...guess what they say...
On October 10, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. I have a question, my attorney says that he has filed the application on 2nd July without my signature.
I have not given any authorization also.
I am worried if it is valid or not.
